Coker, Robb & Cannon, Family Lawyers is proud to announce that shareholders Malorie Crosley and Anthony Pax have earned Board Certification in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, a distinction that recognizes substantial experience, rigorous continuing education, peer review, and successful completion of a comprehensive specialty exam.

Their achievement also strengthens one of our firm’s most meaningful differentiators for clients: depth of credentialing across the team.

With Malorie and Anthony now Board Certified, Coker, Robb & Cannon, Family Lawyers has:

  • 6 Board Certified attorneys
  • Approximately half of our staff holding board certification credentials
  • More than half of our paralegals holding board certification credentials

In a field where fewer than 6% of Texas lawyers are Board Certified, these numbers reflect a firm-wide commitment to specialization and higher standards in family law.

What TBLS Board Certification Means

The Texas Board of Legal Specialization (TBLS) was established in 1974 and operates under the authority and oversight of the Supreme Court of Texas. It is the only organization authorized to certify Texas attorneys and paralegals in legal specialties, and its certification process is widely regarded as one of the most demanding professional credentialing standards in the state.

While requirements vary by specialty, TBLS board certification generally reflects:

  • Substantial, relevant experience in the practice area
  • A significant CLE commitment focused on the specialty area
  • Peer review and vetted references
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive specialty examination

Why This Matters for Clients

Divorce, custody, and family law matters aren’t just legal problems. They’re often life problems with long-term consequences. Clients often come to us needing answers on high-stakes issues such as parenting time, conservatorship, support, and the division of complex assets. In those situations, specialization matters.

Board certification is designed to help the public identify lawyers who have demonstrated a higher level of experience and tested knowledge in a specific practice area. And because only a small percentage of Texas attorneys are board certified, it remains a meaningful credential when selecting counsel for a serious family law matter.

Congratulations, Malorie and Anthony

Please join us in congratulating Malorie Crosley and Anthony Pax on earning TBLS Board Certification in Family Law.
