Georgya Rankin, Legal Assistant

Georgya and her family came to Texas from a small town in Kansas in 1996. Since that time her family has doubled in size to include a daughter in-law, son in-law, and grandchildren.

Georgya joined Duane’s office as a Legal Assistant in 2002 and is known as the Probate and Guardian Specialist. She also handles Collaborative Divorces, Divorces, Modifications, and Estate Planning.

Before working with Duane, Georgya worked in the legal profession for approximately three years as a Lead Probate Clerk in the Denton County Probate Court where she prepared Citations, Subpoenas, Letters Testamentary, Letters of Guardianship, and prepared files for hearings.

Interesting things about Georgya:

• Georgya’s newest hobby is riding motorcycles with her husband in her spare time. Her plan is to someday ride cross-country on motorcycles.
• Georgya loves to spend time working in her flower beds and vegetable gardens.
• Georgya loves to be creative with interior design, and is always looking at new paint colors and designing techniques to use in her own home.
• Georgya enjoys photography and will take pictures of just about anything that looks interesting.
